CILAN is building a platform that separates private requests for assistance from the information a person chooses to share with supporters. Live registration and payment processing are not open yet. The interactive preview uses fictional records and stores your preview changes in your own browser.
What the platform is designed to collect
When registration opens, account information includes your name, email address, selected account type, and, for corporate supporters, an organization name. An assistance application asks for contact details, preferred language, a description of the support needed, and optional notes. Do not place Social Security numbers, passport numbers, immigration identifiers, passwords, or unredacted case documents in public stories or ordinary email.
Private intake and public campaigns
Private intake is available to the client who submitted it and authorized CILAN administrators. Donors and corporate supporters do not receive access to private applications. A public campaign uses a separately prepared story, a chosen public display name, a general region, a reviewed funding goal, and information the applicant has consented to share.
CILAN reviews a campaign before it becomes public. Applicants can withdraw publication consent through their portal. A person can request assistance without agreeing to a public campaign. Links, copies, screenshots, or social media previews that other people previously saved may remain outside CILAN’s control.
Progress information
Supporters will be able to see their own contribution records and approved progress information. Public funding progress describes service support; it does not reveal private legal documents or promise an immigration outcome.
Services used to operate the platform
The website is built for hosting on Vercel, with Supabase providing account and database services when configured and Resend supporting transactional email when verified. Payment processing will remain closed until a provider and the final funding policies are in place. CILAN’s application will not ask you to enter card details directly into a case application.
Browser storage and communication
The preview uses browser storage to remember sample activity and provides a reset control. Signed-in accounts will use authentication cookies. CILAN has not added advertising trackers to this website. Contact forms that open your email application do not send a message until you choose to send it.
Requests about your information
For questions, correction requests, or requests to remove a public story, contact kimm@cilan.org. CILAN will review deletion requests alongside any recordkeeping responsibilities associated with services, contributions, and applicable requirements. Further retention and payment details will be provided before live fundraising opens.
