Funding approach · Proposed program
Every contribution. A clear purpose.
CILAN is building a community funding program to make approved immigration services more accessible. The platform preview illustrates the intended process. Live donations are not being accepted, and the final allocation percentage and processing provider have not been selected.
From a private request to approved support
A client submits a private request. An authorized administrator reviews the request, identifies an appropriate service scope and quote, and records a decision. With the client’s separate permission, CILAN can publish a reviewed campaign using a public display name. Admin-created groups can bring several approved campaigns together.
How contribution amounts will be explained
The contribution screen will show the gross amount, processing costs, the amount assigned to client services, and any disclosed share supporting CILAN’s operations. The policy in effect at the time of a contribution will stay attached to that record. Changing a future allocation percentage will not rewrite previous contributions.
Funding goals describe the cost of approved services. Funds assigned to a campaign are tracked separately from amounts actually used for those services. CILAN service charges must be included in the approved service scope; they should not be counted twice as both services and operations.
Individuals, groups, and shared sponsorship
Supporters may express a preference for an individual campaign, a reviewed group, or the shared assistance fund. Corporate sponsors can support the shared fund and follow its approved allocations. CILAN retains responsibility for eligibility, service decisions, and the use of charitable funds. Gifts are not passed through as unrestricted personal payments to applicants.
Privacy and fairness
Public storytelling is optional. An applicant who does not want a public campaign can still request consideration for shared assistance. Supporters see approved progress, while private intake and case information stay within authorized access.
Changes, excess funds, and refunds
The system distinguishes unassigned funds, amounts reserved for a service, amounts already used, and refunded amounts. CILAN will finalize its written rules for campaign closure, reassignment, excess contributions, disputes, and refunds before collecting real payments. No preview action establishes an actual refund entitlement.
